Writing is thinking on paper

With the cat being hospitalised for a few days, ive time to bake a tottenham cake,to read and write and swim. This naughty cat is an energy vampire who sucks my energy chasing him and feeding and playing with him.he is a demanding attention seeker who screams for attention.with him not at home its a blessing in disguise to cook new recipes, paint or read without him disturbing me.hard to think when he is biting my ankle for attention n his love bites cause me skin allergy.but i miss him i think the China government is right to stress moral n ethical consideration in the use of social media and to regulate it instead of letting technopreneurs rule freely in cyberspace. The celebrities caught in drug abuse, sexual crimes or immoral pornographic activities to boost profits should be clamped down and their social media presence curtailed. If not curbed ,these will lead to cyberbullying and rise in suicides of victims. Regulation of social media use would curb online addiction and rise of social recluses and sociopaths in society.this is especially needed in young children n teens who lack self discipline and self regulation.those screaming for freedom of expression should know people can abuse the social media to slander, incite hate n terrorism, abuse n discriminates others. The Confucian ethic stresses harmony between individuals and the state so a balance has to be struck between use of media to influence and generate income and the use of media to tarnish and incite conflicts. Jared Diamond in his book on why some societies make disastrous decisions, reiterates. the crux of success or failure as a society is to know which core values to hold on to and which ones to discard and replace with new values when times change. Can our economy depend on exploitation of natural resources from tin, rubber, oil palm and fossil fuel to drive the economic growth. Is it time to restrategise to other engines of growth and if so,how well prepared is our education system to align with new growth areas like sustainable development and data centres and green energy use and AI?
