Foodie dream

Do people dream of food?Last nite i dreamt a foodies heaven. It was at the iconic dim sum restaurant at State Mak Yee.I remember the famous comfort food the woh bao.its a savoury bao with slices of moist belly pork cooked with spring onions and its topped by a yellow fluffy egg sponge cake.No one knows how to make this classic bao since Mak Yee dim sum shop closed down.My saliva is drooling into my pillow. But today i cooked what my British friend Sarah Mary cooked when we went to her place for Christmas dinner Not the roast turkey or shepherd pie but i miss her sticky date treacle pudding served with custard sauce and a dollop of vanilla ice cream. Its heavenly and to die for.I saw the recipe on youtube and made the pudding steaming for 3 hours. The pudding is a dream come true Bon appetit for we cant buy this pudding in bakery .Home made cakes and pudding taste better than the commercial bought cakes.jun says the texture of commercial cakes are ok but taste bland as they use colouring. My cakes and muffins have real chocolate, prunes, raisins and for this pudding mashed dates from Middle East.for orange cake i grate zest of orange and orange juice .for pineapple upside down i put pineapple rings and cherry.Commercial cakes look good but are tasteless.i told Jun that cooking is hot and sweaty so its a labour of love so when i cant cook anymore he will get food dreams instead of wet dreams.G
Good food is an orgasmic experience
