Home cooked meals are healthier

Due to heatwave,I cooked osmanthus jelly and agar agar pandan lumut santan.I didnt use green colouring but real pandan leaves to extract the juice,put in coconut milk,agar,stevia sugar,grapes and beaten eggs.its a recipe i learnt in high school cooking class.so refreshing on a hot day to eat fruit jelly. Before work,i cooked and ate lunch .i make one ricepot cabbage braised rice with dried shrimps,liver chinese sausages lap cheong,thai fish cakes,pop corn chicken meat balls n lots of shredded cabbage.its a fast cooking recipe.

Oldie wanna be a Goldie

i dont wanna be a silver hair geezer in a rocking chair.I wanna rock it like my neighbour downstairs. A mother of 3 adult sons one working,one pursuing PHD overseas and one a medical student in East Msia and a still busy working husband,she devotes her time to self care and workouts.As the senior citizens at Lao Shi Birthday party said we sacrificed half our lives ,time and energy bringing up our family so at this latter age its time to live it up and do the things we love like dancing,singing and travelling.We wanna take the time to stop and smell the roses before we are bedridden and need a walking frame to walk. This neighbour Jun nicknamed red hot mama .i used to admire her discipline to workout every single day for 2 hours whether dancing with a hula hoop,aerobics,use light weights and ab roller outdoors.Sometimes she uses her racing bike to ride around the apartment complex and sometimes she swims.She has a taunt n lithe.body unlike many senior citizens.She wears sports dark glasses,sports bra and yoga tights n sports shoes.wow she is a ted hot mama. Today i chatted with her and how she handles the empty nest syndrome by exercising to boost her feel good mood.Her hubby and sons encourage her workouts.by buying the sports equipment for her like ab roller.She does planking longer than me.look at her sexy figure in a red hot bikini would put many younger women to shame.She has her fans as she livestreams her workout.i admire her rock hard abs and solid muscles.hell im looking for her red hot bikini to buy.Why do swimsuits in Malaysia look so dull and boring so l need to buy online from e commerce.i dont want to look like the China dama in a facekini and long sleeved top and long pants.i would look like a zongzi all wrapped up I wanna look like taiwan obasan Chen mei feng,hong kong actress Cherie Chung or British tv host Carol Vorderman.Cant believe they are all over 60s.they drink from the fountain of youth and workout hard.

Food waste

The price of meat is expensive so that I dont waste food.The french fish stew i recycled into another meal by adding macaroni n canned sardines. So im furious when my food budget is spoiled when i ran out of meat by end pf month.im supposed to have 2 packet of fresh chicken chopped into chunks this week but.the damn cat ate one packet of raw chicken which i threw away and the other discounted chicken from Giant mart was rotten so i threw it away. Now ive to eat my emergency frozen processed chicken pop corn balls and canned tuna and sardines.For rm 16,i can cook spaghetti with chicken balls,popcorn chicken with salted egg yolk sauce and sweet and sour chicken balls.The. tuna i mash to make potato bergedil or potato cutlets indian style and sardines i cook sambal sardines. im so disappointed that by the end of this month,i cant afford healthy fruits like oranges,apples,pears,blueberries,lychees,rainbow mango and kenya avocado.Kenya avocado cost rm 3 each but a red dragonfruit cost rm 6 and the chempedak rm 20 and a durian rm 90 each.How to eat local fruits which cannot meet local demand and price will hike more when imported fruit becomes too expensive.A pink guava cost rm 4.50 each and the durian belanda cost over rm30 each.Come Chinese New Year mandarin oranges will be so costly and during puasa month the kurma will skyrocket.Forget about Alphonso mango that will be so unaffordable. Cari Makan pun semakin susah dan jika harga salmon naik,saya terpaksa kongsi makanan kucing saya seperti salmon dan kod treats.Kawan tua saya yang makan ubat traditional kerana kurang kesan sampingan berbanding pil perubatan moden kata is khuatir kesihatannya terjejas tanpa ubat traditional.Apa lagi dia pergi urut untuk melegakan sakit tulang belakang dan akupuntur untuk merawat frozen shouldernya. Celebrate Zumba teachers birthday

We had a crazy time celebrate teachers birthday with good food and lots of dancing.the theme was traditional Asian costumes from Nyonya lacy kebaya,indian Sari,cheongsam,kimono to vietnamese ao dai and thai national costume.As usual crazy noisemaker,loud music and singing were part of the fun.even did crazy games like feed the apes when blindfolded.this group of senior citizen and middle aged gals sure know how to throw a party.

Sunday Zumba at taman aman

its good to see other races joining the zumba workout especially young people as its mostly senior citizens who are doing zumba.Music n movement makes it enjoyable to exercise so that when we enjoy a sport we keep on doing it. Change is self driven.like going on a diet and losing weight,consistency and discipline n self motivation is important.Dont expect instant results.it took me 3 years of hard work to build.up muscles and im still a work in progress.like when i told one of my students with low English proficiency when he started.one must have discipline n be consistent.from a fail of 42 marks at the start by the end of 3 months he got 80 marks but the next stage,he slacked n skipped classes n homework saw his marks drop to 48 but this term he woke up and worked hard and is now scoring above 80.nothing comes easy and sikit sik8t lama lama akan jadi bukit Untuk .hilang setiap kg berat badan ikut prinsip sama.

Weekend special food

for lunch i cooked spaghetti in creamy herb n cheese sauce with salmon belly,chicken hot dog and shrimp n mixed vege.added 3 cheese mix of parmesan,cheddar n mozarella.so yummy dinner i cooked ayam masak merah or red spicy tomato chicken and potato cooked in taucheo n oyster sauce.I was aghast the discounted chicken at half price i got from Giant mart was spoilt rotten.it was wrapped in plastic n when i opened it it smelled awful n had discoloured to yellow.im so angry .Instead of throwing away rotten perishables,Giant sells it at half price.i threw it into the thrash bin as i didnt want to get food poisoning.I went to Stargrocer where i could choose the frozen chicken thighs from the counter so i could smell it was fresh n.not slimy.Now im wary of buying prepacked chicken in cling wrap as they may not be fresh.I will go back to wet market or buy frozen chicken that is not prepacked with clingwrap.

Lebih lagi buah buahan tempatan ada kandungan gula tinggi tak sesuai untuk. si diabetik.Buah tempatan seperti betik,pisang dan manga mudah rosak di cuaca panas.lagi pun kita tiada domestic alternative untuk buah seperti blackberry,avocado,pear,apple ,oren yang tak bolen dt tanam di cuaca tropika.Kerana negara seperti Eropah atau Australia ada competitive advantage bila ada ladang buahan yang luas dan agrotechnology yang mendalam bahkan. Mixed international meals

i cooked up a storm last nite.i bought 2 slices of kurau at discounted rm10 and make indian style pickled panfried curry powder fish fillet before put in vinegar,fresh tomato,pineapple,poppy seeds and coriander.it taste great.then cooked thai basil leaf minced meat used thecwrong chinese dark soy instead of kicap manis n it was a disaster.looked like black beans so awful.what a disaster.then cooked acar pickled vegetables and a dessert of osmanthus jelly.so hot n tired and got mad when kitty pee on the apron i hung in the kitchen.i threw away the pee soaked apron.

Ahkir bulan ini,kami rakyat golongan B40 dan M40 akan di kenakan tambah cukai SST keatas 4,000 barang n perkhidmatan yang dulu hanya 1 ribu barang di kenakan cukai. ..Rakyat akan dihentam betul betul kerana subsidi Ron95 di batalkan manakala tariff elektrik di naikkan. Yang mengejutkan ialas cukai kargo di Pelabuhan Kelang akan dikenakan naik setinggi 30 % pada akhir bulan ini.Malaysia memang mengimpot bekalan makanan sebab sektor pertanian di abaikan lamanys dan kita bergantung kepada makanan di impot. Cukai 30% pelabuhan naik berserta hilang subsidi Ron 95 bererti kos pengangkutan terusnaik dan barang impot akan naik dengan tinggi dan barangan barangan tempatan.juga dinaikkan sebab pengusaha tidak akan menampung perbelanjaan lebih Lebih lagi bila sewa komersial dikena SST maka,perniagasn retailer akan terjejas kerana tarif electrik,sewa dan pengangkutan naik serentak. Bila harga rumah naik kerana SST ,ini bererti hatga sewa rumah terus naik.ini multiplier effect dalam ekonomi .Bila premium insuran perubatan naik dengan.besar bersama naik SST di hospital swasta,ramai keluatga M40 di hentam dengan beban kos ini bersama kos pendidikan swasta di kena SST. Yang lebih berita baik ialah selepas subsidi Ron95 di batalkan,kerajaan Madani akan mengenakan carbon tax keatas perusahaan tenaga seperti minyak otomobil dan elektrik yang gunakan arangbatu sebagai bahanapi..Pengguna EV patut di beri perlepasan cukai untuk galak guna green vehicle tapi bila kos elektrik naik,mereka juga di hentam.Pada ketika ini jaringan LRT tak cukup untuk melintasi seluruh negeri dari Kedah ke Johor dan tiada high speed rail seperti di China untuk pengangkutan awam,maka rakyat terpaksa gantung kepada kereta enjin minyak dan bas express Apa lagi cara lain untuk menambahkan beban rakyat.Kerajaan tiada wang kerana rasuah pada tahap dari tinggi sampai rendah telah mengurangkan pendapatan kerajaan.Tak hairan la bila C4 di tubuhkan menghapus rasuah dan cronisme telah menerbitkan karya Misgovernance atau. A nostalgic dish of chestnut

I really miss the rice dumplings or zongzi Mom made for dragon boat festival.She soaked the dried bamboo leaves a week before preparing the rice and fillings.i love the 5 spiced belly pork,dried oyster,shitake mushroom,salted egg yolk,mung bean filling. and chestnuts. When there is leftover chestnuts,she used them to cook my favourite braised chicken with shitake mushroom,chestnut,and carrot braised in oyster sauce For dinner i braised chicken drumstick with chestnut n mushroom.i added china red dates n morocco honey sweet dates.The sauce was perfect thick and cloying sweet with nostalgia.Jun loved it and licked the plate clean.i m happy when people enjoyed my cooking and say their stomach is happy as the good food gives good vibes.Although weather is terribly hot at 34 oc and stifling hot in the kitchen slaving over the hot stove,its worth the trouble to cook heartwarmming dishes.dim sum is in my cantonese blood.a touch of the ❤️ heart that is what dim sum means to a true blue Cantonese.

King kitty

this king cat loves wet food like Snappy Tom real meat and dislikes dry kibbles like Royal Canin so i serve royal feline made of real tuna,salmon and mackerel.When i refuse to let him in,he has temper tantrum.The cardboard box in which i put kibbles n cat supplies like disinfectant was badly damaged when he used it as scratching board.it became wet n soggy at the bottom so i changed to a new styrofoam waterproof box.The cat from hell scratched it until styrofoam bits lie all around the floor.look at how ugly he damaged the box so i need to look for a big plastic box from Daiso that is scratch proof.this cat gives me a hell lot of work to do but i will never

abandon him to be a stray cat like Mimi downstairs.
