Not every coal turns into a diamond
Not every coal turns into a diamond
The words ring in my ears
In a class of 50,we the teachers give hope
that all the kids will turn out fine,
have a bright future ahead,
lead a happy,fulfilled life
but some slip into oblivion
lose their way in life,
crumble to pieces
when hardened by the storms that ravage their lives.
Give up hope and all those youthful dreams
So i recall altho fate lies in our own hands
but even the fingers on our hands are not all even
Some are longer and others are shorter
So although the kids learn together, they dont grow up the same way
Some seeds that we planted will sprout, grow,,blossom and bear fruit
Some seeds we nurture will die in the soil
buried forever in darkness although given the same sunshine and rain.
In the end,not every coal turns.into a diamond
Not every singer finally ends up a superstar like Neil Diamond
who started his career from an unknown nobody
a Neil Coal polished by pressure and time
to shine like a gem as Neil Diamond
