Peace and freedom are so fragile like running on thin ice A chasm threatens to pull innocent victims plunging into icy death So when the military treats the civilians as enemy of the state Ask who pays for their salaries,feeds them and arms them Now they turn their backs on the people they are supposed to protect Snatching the lives of able bodied youths The army of death and destruction pitted against the man on the street Whose only defence is his voice. his words are laced with the blood spilled from his compatriots sacrifice. Power to wage war against the people must be curbed When members of Parliament go to great heights to scale walls to defend democracy when people brave freezing weather to defend peace and freedom Hope in the face of political turmoil the people will prevail Lets pray that the people of Myanmar get to live again in peace in the land of endless coup d etat.

Be old,Be Bold

How could you? or How should you? When I wear the bikini to swim or my baby tee that bares the midriff,eyebrows are raised by the senior ladies gasping How could you?Yeah Why shouldnt i keep up with the fashion? Be old and bold.I go to thrift shops to get vintage clothes to dress up.Growing

up in a tailor shop,i love textile and fashion.So i dress as I please.But China is so conservative that vloggers who dress in swimsuits that are sexy are condemned as thirst traps and make the viewers have nose bleed. Look at Vera Wang who looks great in shorts or Liz Hurley in her bikini.Age is just a number so thats the incentive to stay fit.As long as we can still move it,we should use it.To the MAX. drooling at True bakery at Euopean bread n pastry.Now i usually eat twice a day.Brunch at 10 am and dinner at 5pm. Yesterday dinner i ate the sweet potato bun i baked studded with raisins n cranberries.served with herbed cream cheese,slices of lettuce n tomato,chicken pepperoni n ham and a kombucha tea and green kiwi as dessert.today i went to True bakery and ate a cheese bagel and strawberry cream bun.i wanted to buy the Panettone bread but the cashier said a customer had booked it earlier so i need to wait 2 hours before the new batch of bread is ready.i love Panettone that i bought from the Spain Xmas market when i visited Madrid n Barcelona years ago.So delicious n fruity but if i buy from the supermarkets in KL,its imported and cost rm 50 for one and not as fresh as the bakery.But im not gonna beg for food and wait 2 hpurs for bread.All I want for Christmas is You so i bought a panettone cake tin and hope a youtuber baker will

show me the recipe how to bake a fresh Panettone.if i can learn to bake eurasian Pang Susi,foccacia,sweet potato buns,then Pannettone is no sweat though it takes a long time to prove the dough.patience will be rewarded.

Poor gut health

Two bouts of Covid infection impacted my gastrointestinal health.im unable to control my bowels n get diarrhoea after an hour of eating.Im on the lookout for the nearest gas station toilets or shopping malls loo as im driving on the highway.woe is me if im caught in a long traffic jam or flash flood. ive not travelled to a foreign country by plane since ive gutted my bowels and unless i wear adult diapers its so uncomfortable to travel on the lookout for loos. ive restarted drinking kefir,kombucha n probiotic food like kimchi.ive given up travel dreams unless its domestic n i know where to find clean loos.hope year of the snake will restore gut health or indigestion or diarrhoea upsets my mood for travel

How do writers and poets get souces of inspiration from?Han Kang got it from historical sources like diaries of martyrs of Gwangju uprising.And how did Han Kang get insights into the working of the mind and heart of her characters?Do authors and poets have superempathy skills to read the hearts and minds of their characters. A prominent scientist predictd robots cant replicate 3 himan traits,that of people with emotional,empathetic skills,those skills requiring imagination and non repetitive task requiring leadership n analysis.So intellectual capitalism will replace the demand for commodity.Machio Kaku the theoretical physicists said that the UK earned more from the rock and roll industry than from the coal industry. interesting observation. As i saw the winter moon last night,some sense of lunancy crept into my brain and last nite a whole creative script unfolded in my dream about loss and betrayal.I dreamt and entered into the mind of a single mother who was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer.Her husband divorces her on learning of her illness and gets a new girlfriend.She struggles with chemo treatments and taking care of her two teenage daughters who drop out of school to take menial jobs to help pay the bills.Her only regret is not for her fate but the future of her daughters being deprived of a chance for education and taking on the role of caregiver of the family.i barely recall the dialogue in the dream but i can reaccess her feeling of loss of bodily functions,her anxiety of loss of a roof over the head for her family and her fear of leaving behind her daughters to an irresponsible father. I think Asian movies put value on familial ties so that whether its an Indian,Korean or Thai movie,audiences can identify with a well told story be it science fiction,comedy or horror.

Metta teenz rocks

The edgy rock music and uplifting lyrics of Buddhist songs kept me singing the mantra namo buddhaya .It says the music is by Metta teenz from the album Dharma Garden and thats what we need when we are down and need self love.i really think if the heart sutra can be chanted as hip hop by a Japanese monk,then a rock concert of Buddhist teachings will be cool.Awesome stuff to rock and dance to. Surfing the net i found a fine dining Song Yuan dynasty theme omakase restaurant.in Bandar Botanic Klang.its called Dai Jin and the menu is designed by a China chef who based his culinary creations on Song dynasty paintings and poetry.The plating is magnificent like a piece of Chinese inkwash painting with yellow lotus,red berries and red peony and shrimp gold fish crystal dumpling.Its a feast for the eyes and the restaurants ambience is in a classical mansion with fish ponds and bridges and pebbled courtyayd.the waiters and waitress are dressed in Song dynasty costumes and each dish has a history and the menu is presented in a paper scroll.i enjoyed the banquet Dream of the Red Chamber and Su Tung Pos cuisine when i visited China years ago.Glad they are reviving classical food and presentation as its a cultural heritage but the gourmet fine dining in Dai Jin is beyond my budget .hope some rich friends will give me a culinary treat.

Zumba started late at 8.15 so it was hot when we ended the session .sweat is good for detox.

Kitty in his hideout

Kitty is a smart pussy.When he sees my watergun,he runs inside his hideout house to hide from being sprayed.today he was strangely quiet and not exploring everywhere.i knew he was up to mischief.Found him hiding in the dark hideout playing with two golden xmas balls that fell from the xmas trees.He knew i would take them away from him so he hid them inside his house to play quietly.what a smart cat.lucky its not a dead cockroach.
