Alone time

 Alone time is when i do things without constant disruptions and interruptions.i pamper myself with home spa,facials,hair treatment or try new recipes baking n cooking or gardening or just space out listening to music,painting or singing.

Being alone doesnt mean being lonely because you are free from weekend chores to do hobbies.i read about the heroic feat of the nepali sherpa who rescued the Malaysian Everest climber whose life was dangling by a thread or rope literally at the death zone where temperarures are sub 30 degree celsius.what a heart of gold the Sherpa had because the Malaysian guy was not his client but a stranger clinging on for dear life.he and another Sherpa took turns carrying the half frozen climber wrapped in a sleeping bag down to grounds where a helicopter could land and airlift the guy to hospital.while i was ruminating at my meditation corner sipping my cup of green tea,i felt inspired to draw a tale of the Mt Everest snow queen who claims the souls of dead climbers and the sherpa lifesavers who thwart her plans.the snow queen hurls invisible boulders and cause avalanche that bury many skiers alive in the white tomb.

Weekend i get my ommpah back.by detox on fruit n vegetable.lunch is vegetarian crystal dumpling with filling of yam,chives,pumpkin n yam bean with a chilli dip,fresh dragon mango and a glass of orange juice.gonna bake a egg custard with coconut milk and gula melaka or palm sugar,my chai masala muffins n a cup of green tea for teatime.maybe a nyonya acar and vegetarian luncheon meat for dinner.

Is it a sign?

 This morning I went to Irenes pet shop to buy fish pellets.while i was at the counter,a distraught middle aged man asked the pet shop owner if he knew any vet nearby who could treat his pet bird.he said most vets know cats n dogs as patients.said his pet merbuk had a wing ripped off by a stray cat.but they suggested he contact zoo negara or people at kl bird park.

Coincidence that as i was driving into my porch,a grey merbuk flew over my gate and literally dropped dead in front of my porch.i nearly ran over it but reversed my car to park outside.it was as stiff as a dodo bird with glassy eyes

Nope cant help bring it back to life.i gave it a buddhist funeral and buried its body in the nearby bushes in the park .

So when jun asked to me to adopt a stray kitten i refused as

we cant even have time to care for the fish and plants.

 Urban dictionary explains slang words coined by people and used in creative expression of admiration or disgust.try and guess what trumps,obama and macron mean?i crack my brain trying to figure out how trump came to mean a male homosexual.what an association when hes homophobic .

Dinner

 I cooked grilled eggplant stuffed with mince chicken,green pepper cubes  chopped tomatos n onions n tomato paste n drizzled with olive oil before baking.its a turkish delicacy.then i made portugese grilled fish melaka style.i used a cheap pacific cod fillet

that cost rm 15.its more fun to cook ar home exotic food i cant get at cafes.

Mass tourism

 Cheap air travel,high fuel cost,high inflationary pressures,fear of covid infection are affecting mass tourism.

When previously hordes of China tourists fuel boom in hotel and f and b industry,these days such mass tourists may not be returning to shopping at luxury outlets when they can shop at domestic duty free shops at home.the frenzy of touch and go of whirlwind tours are gone due to lockdown.

Instead young Chinese prefer free n easy travel at a leisurely pace,the peace and quiet to slowdown at eco resorts in natural stunning unspoilt environment or try adventure sports .so Malaysia should rebrand itself as we can offer natural scenic spots without hordes of visitors.immersive local experience like kayaking in mangrove swamps or snorkelling amidst corals  or viewing fireflies might be new lures for China tourists.its time to capitalise on our natural attractions.
