Mourning loss of the young and successful

 On the surface they are young and successful but still haunted by darkness.We mourn the loss of our bright stars whether Avicii,Aaron swartz or k pop entertaimers who take their lives in their prime.May they continue to brighten the dark nites in our sky.Suicide is not a crime but a cry from the darkness of a lost,depressed soul.Decriminalise suicide in Malaysia .To put a depressed person in jail or impose a fine when they are desperate,poor and down is akin to pushing them off the edge of a cliff and an accessory in a suicide bid.

Im in support of the present govts reforms of laws that are retrogressive like decriminalise suicide or outlaw underage marriages or child abuse by caregivers.As responsible citizens,we need to speak out for those who cant.

Bhutanese blog

 Visiting Bhutan was a childhood dream that came true.i loved the serenity of the place and deep spirituality of its people so i enjoyed reading the bhutanese academic Dorji Wangchuk's posts on life in Bhutan, and gained insights into his culture.

Like kyentse rinpoches movies,the narratives explore local myths n legends n offer me as a theravada buddhist an insight into vajrayana buddhism.

The Bhutanese are proud of their traditions and rituals.i appreciate their sharing of life stories as its  uniquely different but share common themes of hope,disappointment,challenges and aspirations.

Dorji Wangchuk lives an interesting life having worked as an engineer,broadcast fiĺm maker n an academic.he has travelled widely but still follows the practices of his faith.

Im glad that he appealed to the govt so that the daily visa entry fee be reduced for pilgrims from other nations like Nepal or Malaysia.

Im happy to note that Mahavihara is organizing pilgrimages to Sri Lanka and India.with the accompanying theravada monk,it will help us devotees deepen our faith on our spiritual path.i hope its an annual event as i would delay my pilgrimage until ive settled some personal issues and i would have the peace of mind to travel.

Switch to china smartphones

 Looking at juns hwa wei and xiaomi phones that are trouble free,i plan to give up on samseng kphones n buy a new china smartphone.the samseng is problematic,disruptive and costly to maintain.

The samseng port is problematic and its the same for two different samseng models.i switch brands to fuss free phones as china made ones are good quality n camera is better.

Now we see more china evs like byd suvs and ora good cat on our roads.but charging infrastructure needs improvement.have ready charged ev battery shops where we drive in and takeaway or replace the empty battery like fast food drive in and pick up.not gonna waste 9 to 10 hours waiting for e v battery recharge.

The ban on export of advanced industrial chips to China may be a blessing in disguise as it will accelerate R&D and production of Industrial Chips.China is looking at self reliance in food production and microchip production.when that happens industries in advanced microchip manufacturing will face drastic drop in demand and falling exports as seen in Taiwan and South Korea now.

 Rereading hararis book 21 lessons for the 21st century.really thought provoking book.im bored to tears being a lady of leisure and need mental stimulation.im not suited to a tai tai life shopping,playing mahjong n gossiping at high tea.perhaps i can take up horticultural study on bonsai or anime design.
