Mentaiko pasta

im a foodie so i was disappointed when Daiso doesnt stock up on mentaiko sauce.luckily many Japanese cooks have youtube videos on how to cook mentaiko sauce.Jaya grocer stock has italian cheese,cooking cream for pasta and shiso leaves.i went to my frozen seafood store for ebiko roe and used my roasted nori strips.cooked angel hair pasta with salmon belly and sliced hot dog in mentaiko sauce.now it wasnt difficult to cook the sauce so i dont need to buy readymade sauce.i cook from fresh ingredients.i love japanese kewpie mayo with goma or truffle.a japanese salad tomorrow.

Hallyu K pop started with music and dancing ,later extended to korean movies and soap operas and korean cuisine.With Han Kangs Nobel prize win,Korean literature translated to English is hot in demand.I thought English translation of Japanese writers like Haruki Murakami n Kazuo Ishiguro were popular but now korean literature is flying off the bookshelves of bookshops.I couldnt find Han Kangs novel The Vegetarian so i may buy it online. This afternoon i bought 2 very intriguing titles by korean novelist kyung sook shin Please look after mother and won pyung sohn Almond.Both are female wtiters and explore the theme of maternal love and adolescent misfits.Even my naughty cat was curious to check out these two novels,sniffing at the book covers.what! this cat likes to read like me .ha ha a cats eye review of korean literature.smartr pussy.Meow these books are totally indigestible.

Farewell to Korean study tour kids

It has been a fruitful experience teaching Korean high school kids from vocational training schools.Full of energy and curiosity,they had a fantastic time adapting to a multicultural nation,sampling exotic food,immersing in trips to Batu Caves,Putrajaya pink mosque,drawing kolam designs for Deepavali n dressing up for Halloween party.They love the diverse experiences of pasar malams,trips to Pasar Seni,Chinatown,Petronas Twin Towers,KL Towers,Sunway Pyramid,Pavilion,Mid Valley Megamall,Dataran Merdeka and the use of LRT to get around. From knowing next to nothing about Malaysia,they fell in love with our friendly people and diverse cultures from modern architecture to traditional buildings.im gonna miss them a lot as theyre on the thresh hold to transition from school to the adult working world.its refreshing to work with youthful energetic youths.Their education systems groom young people well for their future career as they re equipped with technological skills like software programming to technical skills like culinary and hospitality or horticultural skills of urban farming. The education system trains them well in holistic way from oral hygiene to physical fitness.Most are active in sports from football,badminton,basketball ,skateboarding,wall climbing,jogging or gym.They dont suffer the obesity issue of Malaysian youths who eat like there is no tomorrow and hates to exercise. Our education system is in shambles with politicking overiding everything else.there is no critical thinking or communication skills except spoon feeding and cram schools.There is no meeting global education standard like Singapore or China but a dumbing down of young brains.A mind is a terrible thing to waste.
