Simple lunch
i like shopping for fresh produce at open wet market cause i grew up in a shop opposite state wet market.grandma is typical Cantonese n buys live chicken n fish to slaughter.making steam fish or chicken need fresh meat.so lately i felt weak n tired after blood loss in two operations. i wanted to look for fresh haruan or carp to boil nutritious soup but its not the season. so ive been eating chicken liver n oyster omelette to get more iron.this morning the market hawker was selling huge live blood cockles at rm 15 a kilo.i bought some for lunch.had to wear apron to eat to prevent sauce splatter on my shirt.i blanch cockles in hot water,made a dip of chilli lime sauce,had an avocado n fresh pineapple and apple juice.the cockles were plumb n juicy n so delicious.yum
