The friends i made in varsity have remained true.they are fun loving foodie and ive been hosted by many melaka friends who are hospitable from Woo Mee Yong,Eileen and now Lai Lee.i love delicious nyonya food and old buildings in jonker street as i love vintage stuff.Mee Yongs family lived in an old shophouse selling grocery in Jonker Street.it was long,dark n narrow and she took me to eat chicken rice balls.Eileen is a nyonya and has a doctorate in linguistic.she is an expert in Kristang language n speaks local Malay dialect like a pro.She took me to Portugese settlement for grilled fish.so many happy impressions of awesome peranakan cuisine.my Penang nyonya excolleague taught me to cook kerabu bok nee and perut ikan.now im adept at ayam pong teh,pie tee,pang susi,acar and itik tim.
