Still thoughts on a rainy night
its 5am,the darkest hour before dawn.the loud rumble of thunder woke me up from deep slumber.i sit by my window and gazed at the flashes of lightning and heavy rain lashing on the trees.the palm fronds near the swimming pool are swaying violently in the thunderstorm as the pitter patter of raindrops strike the glass windowpanes.i love the brutal forces of nature clashing in a splendid display.inspired me to meditate and still my turbulent mind.thinking of it inspired a sketch and read the platform sutra by zen monk huineng, the sixth patriach who was illiterate but understood satori.still thoughts on a rainy nite to seek inner peace.
