 I got into a trap and couldnt get out until i lightened my wallet.no it was not a love or investment scam but the book expo

.i meant to browse 10 mins and got trapped 2 hours and rm 90 less in my wallet later.

I have a weakness for ideas,thoughts and words on paper.my new booklist.irresistible when i meant to buy medication from the pharmacy but i got a cure for bibliophilia

Stay safe

 Public security at train stations or walkways should be improved for lone females to go about the city.We get viraĺ videos of sudden sexual harrassment of females walking on the pavement or being pushed to the ground and groped in the lightrail transit station.there should be more cctv cameras and security personnel at key places .

I have little respect for male martial arts sifu who dont teach students to fight back as self defence to protect oneself from harm.

In a situation of molest,we have the right to fight back or the molester will get bolder the next time.Martial arts trains quick reflexes to block and avert attacks.it should be taught to young girls in schools if they are cornered and need to escape.the police cant be around 24 hours everywhere so this self protective skill is vital nowadays.Even a popular south korean singer Djsoda got molested at a public meeting with fans in Japan.stay safe and fight back .

Sweet addiction

 Ive a sweet tooth for cakes,kuih and pastry and thats not a good habit.sugar addiction gives us a boost to our mood so we crave for chocolates,ice cream,candy ,fizzy drinks n cakes.ever heard of those who gets a craving for carrots and green vegetable?

Sugar gives a feel good effect so its addictive.we keep hankering for more as our glucose tolerance level spikes.

Now Malaysians take too much sugar from the teh tarik, ais kacang to kuih muih.Malaysians ate the heavyweights in SouthEast Asis,overeatimg 6 meals a day and lazy to exercise or even walk a short distance.No wonder the two top killers are NCDs like heart disease and diabetes.

I think we are not alone.South Africa is also facing a health crisis in lifestyle diseases with diabetes soaring due to obesity issues.a sedantary lifestyle and prevalence of fast food and junk food go hand in hand in causing health problems.

 I ate the chocolate chip madeleines i bought,the quiche spinach ham tart i baked and a bowl of soya milk muesli.i bought calpee muesli from japan.its rice bubbl

es,goji berry,pumpkin n sunflower seeds,raisins n dried peach.so full.i baked merdeka muffins for indian newspaper man romy my workout pal n neighbours

 Takeshi has a soft spot for all creatures small or big.Thats so sweet of him when most treat them as mere props in a scene.All beings have life and deserve our kindness.

Sweet dream furbaby

 Now i can read his message,kitty is more happy.i fill his food bowl to the brim with kibbles so he doesnt make loud meows anymore .he meows when the drinking water bottle is empty.his nose is sensitive to stinky poo in kitty litter so i change to scented tofu litter n throw away poo often,changing to some new litter.i let him out to play and zoom around twice a day for an hour n play cat toys with him.hes so tired that he sleeps like a baby and has sweet dreams.i keep buying new toys to stimulate him.its challenging to love and make him happy and healthy but now hes grown bigger n so handsome.sure to break some pussys heart.

Morning workout

 I love working

out at the park after early morning shower as tbe air is fresh.then its reward cheat day with nasi lemak kak sanah which is addictive and the burgher Malaysia or doughnut buns stuffed with spicy sambal anchovy n onion n a slice of cucumber.a bottle of green tea completes a Msian breakfast.happy merdeka to eat all that i like.

I bought a pot of rosemary herbs for my garden.useful to make roast chicken like the curry leaves i grew.hope kitty Satan doesnt kill the herb as i threw away 5 plants he tortured to death yesterday.

Went Jaya Grocer for supplies and got madeleines with choc chips cause Jun wanted to taste them got 10x for rm 15.90.cheaper than nyonya kuih which cost rm2 .50 per piece nowadays.i told Jun madeleines are Europeanfied kek bahulu in fanciful packaging.sama sama baked in small moulds.

Separate issue

 Hope netizens from China will not overreact and be overemotional on the issue of release of nuclear wastewater from Fukushima.the policy of the government and private companies may not align with the personal convictions of ordinary civilians.To harass or abuse ordinary Japanese civilians for the public policy of the government and private companies shows a lack of understanding of the issue.the ordinary Japanese have suffered severe side effects of mercury poisoning of Minamata as has the victims of the radioactive poisoning of Nagasaki and Hiroshima through no fault on their part.so stop victimizing the innocent civilians and hold the government and the private companies accountable for their industrial policy.its a separate issue so dont start Asian hate campaign in Asia when the West is slandering and victimizing us already.be rational and separate the issues.

Yes the traces of radioactive contamination may not be detected at this early phase of release but what will happen after releasing toxic waste continuously after 30 to 40 years.the long term effects of slow accumulation of toxins may only be apparent 30 to 40 years in future in our bodies..im buying seafood from Canada,Chile and New Zealand at the moment but how sure are you that the tuna or mackerel that is caught in the Atlantic or Artic ocean didnt swim in from the contaminated seas of Pacific off the Fukushima coast.

Merdeka muffins.

 Im toying with idea of baking merdeka muffins to gift my neighbours encik Amin,indian newspaper uncle and mr  chu for merdeka day.im gonna call them the Amoy,Minah and Maanvi muffins.im gonna experiment with chai masala muffin,ondeh pandan gula melaka muffin and a sweet potato with adzuki red bean muffin representing the diversity of our cuisines in an Eurasian spice blend.

Playdate

 A neighbours sweet female kitty at a playdateno,captain wasnt ready to find a mate.he snarl,hissed n tried to scratch her.diabolical rascal.he doesnt deserve a girlfriend coz he gave her the cold shoulder so she retreated to her owners shoulder safely.

I recognise his signal purr when he wants cuddles,meow when he wants food,snarl and hiss when he is angry and hates to bathe,yelps when his butt is smacked for killing my plant babies.

Food glorious food

 Lunch i cookex vegetarian lasagna.i used sliced potatoes,bechamel sauce,mock soyameat mince,tomato puree,leeks n  tomatoes n mozarella cheese.for dinner its chinese braised chicken with peanuts,thai steamed fish otak n fish cakes n aloo gobi.its indian,thai and chinese food,international cuisine.

Travel bug

 Ive got news my ex varsity mate who is retired got a contract post as lecturer at a private university in Ulaanbatttar Mongolia.We classmates plan to visit Mongolia and stay at her apartment as shes single and has time and energy to vacation with us on grasslands and national parks.i plan to do more part time jobs to save up for travels.my three year itch to travel is getting back.

Life aint so simple as choose between A or B

 Torn between two loves,do i care more for my plant babies or the diabolical kitty Satan.when one i have to let go,which will i choose?

Captain jumped on top of a tall plant and brought the soil scattering everywhere and broke the branches of the blooming plant .its a traumatised plant with ripped off leaves.

Now if i adopt a stray kitty n separate it from its 4  siblings,i feel guilty if i cant make him happy.but hes destructive and makes my plants die,upset my lantern n play with my undergarments.so now im torn between two loves.sigh .

 I enjoyed myself tonite at the concert in klpac.the songs were nostalgic like sudirman n alleycats.my niece is a violinist at the klpac orchestra and im a proud aunt as shes the only musically gifted member in our family.

Dinner

 I cooked Malay grilled fish or ikan bakar with tilapia fillet.marinated with ginger,onion paste,tumeric n curry powder,salt,curry leaves and wrapped in tumeric leaves.so yummy

Captain is picky eater,declines dry kibbles but loves wet food like tuna n sardines.he doesnt like to sleep on cloth bed but snoozes on the cat litter box.hes feisty and loud and zooms under sofa n bed.its tiring pandering to him,buying new cat toys or expensive branded wet food.he bites and scratches when made to bathe .had to adminster tough love by disciplining him when he s hell bent on destroyimg my plants.what a diabolical kitty.

In case you dont know Erin Brokovich is a movie acted by Julia Roberts that depicts how a small town residents in the US got poisoned by toxic chemical dumped by an irresponsible

 chemical plant that contaminated the drinking water supply.residents suffered nosebleeds,chronic cough,asthma,skin rashes,bronchitis and decades later had cancer,fibromylgia,joint aches.Erin Brokovich was the lawyer who won the class action suit for the victims of the poisoning.Dark Waters is another movie on contamination of water from toxic chemicals.these are man made catastrophic environmental pollution of water resources.

NOW hasnt Japanese victims of Hiroshima and Nagasaki suffered enough physical side effects from nuclear radiation.Today,the government of Japan wants to release contaminated nuclear waste water from Fukushima and the Tepco plant work to reduce cost of waste disposal by dumping them into the oceans.It is a threat to food security as marine creatures will be affected.i feel Japanese seafood and food and beverage business will be severely impacted by the irresponsible action.havent we heard about the Minamata disease caused by environmental pollution of mercury in the water?

As if food security is a big enough problem,the war in Ukraine has disrupted supply of staples like wheat and climate change reduced rice exports from India.now a man made disaster is in the making by reducing protein from wild marine catches which is not safe for human consumption.time to be a vegetarian.
