Use technology to link job seekers to jobs
i donated some food stuff of pitatoes, sardines etc to poor B40 indians who stay in slum areas like kampung kayu ara.i used to employ a hard working indian domestic helper who cleaned the house n ironed the clothes.her husband is a grass cutter who comes to my moms house to cut the lawn.i used to stay in a cheap low cost house in sunwayand my next door neighbour muthu worked as a van driver for a factory and wakes up at 3am to deliver newspapers to the neighbourhood.his wife makes n sells kuih to supplement income.they work two jobs and long hours to make a living.they are not begging the government for aid and food.they have dignity to work hard.
but with lockdown, they lose jobs and income.so they are not savvy with smartphone n online business.ask the young with it skills in each residential area, each village to set up websites with the contact no of various service provider from homecooked food, plumber, electrician, beautician, hairdresser, gardener, sub contractor, car service, car wash and distribute the booklets to every household in the residential area like say sea park, sec 17.then when we need services, show youre already vaccinated, wear mask n come to our homes to cut hair, clean the cars etc.
this way,no crossing faraway districts and match the job seeker with those who need services.i need a masseur, plumber, service air condition, repair television, hair dresser.just call their dumb phone,no need whats app or internet the b40 cant afford.
let the self employed and daily wage earner cari makan.work gives them a reason to keep alive and take care of their family.as Bill Clinton says at the end of the day, voters choose you cause its the economy that matters the most to voters
