Scorching heat

the weather has been so hot and dry lately until my plants leaves are scorched cause i use a watering can.now i use a hose to water the plants so the soil is moist not baked dry and hard ive taken to wearing tank tops and spaghetti straps as its so hot cooking in the kitchen when things get really steamy when im doing deep fat frying and i turn sizzling hot. made french toast breakfast and a fusilli salad with mayo dressing,kiwi,tomato n sweet corn and smoked duck.iced lemon tea to cool off. speaking of cultural appropriation,its so sad when westerners take our classic food like congee n claim to improve on the recipe by adding spices like masala,blueberries,barley,oat,peach and etc to suit western palate.thats NOT Asian rice congee but muesli or oat porridge. congee is the ultimate comfort food n is in our DNA for thousands of years.im ok when they redesign chinese clothing,china crockery or chinoserie decor but dont MESS around with our food.The Japanese mastered culinary art of French cuisine,even improving on the texture like souffle pancake or cheesecake or cheese tarts. its the art of fine cooking so dont add insult to injury by saying you improved the recipe for Asian congee.
