Radish cake
today i cooked a lo bak go or steamed radish cake.created a recipe that doesnt use any pork sausage which i substitute with vegetarian bak kwa made by Ahimsa that use soy protein n mushroom fibres.i cut them into small cubes.added dried scallop,dried prawn n shitake mushrooms.i use mix of green n white daikon n use blended rice and corn flour.topped with garnishing like deep fried shallot,spring onion,fried dried prawn n preserved radish,red chilli n sesame seed.eat pan fried dipped in XO sauce.it was exactly how mom taught me following family recipe.so nostalgic as my late grandma used to make and sell her kuih like yam cakes and peanut kuih.a memory of her cooking restored the good food she served.
