Brunch








 Weekend i steam the frozen bao n chicken in yellow rice wine,siu mai of chicken n finally n crystal dumpling shriìmp.its much cheaper than eating out at dim sum shop  that will cost me rm 24 as one plate of dim sum costs rm 6 to 7 nowadays.having a fruit salad with msian avocado,blueberry and mandarin from China.

Enjoy a feast but dont burn a hole in purse.

Last nite i cooked grilled chicken chop marinated in thai sweet chilli sauce n nampla with honey.a side of stewed potato,celery n carrot in mushroom sauce n a salad of avocado,mango n tomato.

I spent the whole evening meal prep as on Sunday i bake cakes,bread or muffins for next week breakfast n teatime.but i decided to steam a radish cake or cantonese loh bak go with dried scallop,chinese sausage,dried prawns n shitake mushroom n sweet preserved turnip.later ill put topping of fried shallots,dried prawns,scallions,red chilli n sesame seed.i love loh bak go sold at dim sum shops but mine has quality ingredients.i eat it with XO sauce.

I feel western bread n muffins has defeated traditional chinese breakfast like congee n yu tiao or yam n radish cakes n kuih talam.

Time to revive chinese traditional breakfast food.

Tonite i cooked rat tails noodle with minced chicken n shitake mushroom n bean sprouts n a sweet barley gingko n dried beancurd dessert.i added candied winter melon for crunch.
