Perhaps the low marriage rate in China can be due to rising awareness among Chinese youths that all that hype about getting married is just a cultural norm of a Confucian feudal society.
All that ritual,grandeur and lavish dinner lasts only for a day or two.the look good,feel good mood disappears in the daily grind of work life balance.especially for the Chinese females their goal is a career and financial independence,not being a domestic goddess and pretty soon they realize that marriage is domestic slavery without a salary.the wedding last for a day but a marriage is a lifetime.by the time they realize they got the raw end of the deal,the govt makes it hard for them to seek divorce so irreconciliable differences is no excuse for a mutually amicable separation.it begins when you gals sink into his arms and ends with your arms in the sink.so put on your glasses and look before you leap!
