Food heaven
Malaysia is a food heaven as i can try out all kinds of ethnic cuisine from Turkish,Indian,Thai,Vietnamese,French to Italian.
Im spoilt for choice when it comes to food.I had indian food pani poori for lunch yesterday and today it rained heavily at lunchtime.I went to eat at Cawfee Talk at Centrepoint. The coffeeshop offers great variety from vegetarian, hakka thunderrice lei cha to vietnamese and thai food n japanese bento to korean bingsu.ive known the Taiwanese couple running the curry noodle stall for a decade.Retirees with children working overseas, they decided to run the canteen in my college serving mixed rice and noodles.the intensive labour with a few helpers and long hours made them quit and now they run a simple stall offering limited choices. My son loved their braised lionhead meatball rice but now he changed the menu to curry laksa which is the best in PJ like the traditional laksa at Madras Lane.its thick, creamy n fragrant.
today i felt chilly in the heavy rain so i ate comfort food.i seldom eat pork but their shanghai meat n vege wonton is awesome n mouthwatering .its juicy and plumb wontons setved in a piping hot bowl of soup with slices of radish, seaweed and mustard green n spring onion.heartwarming food on a cold, rainy afternoon.the best part is the dried crispy chilli flakes that is irresistible.too good for words cause you need to eat it to know why its out of this world.their jiaozi is also fantastic, juicy n tasty unlike the frozen dumplings i buy.
i cooked a meatloaf with minced chicken, chopped carrot, beetroot, onions n celery with tomato puree n worchestershire sauce, breadcrumbs n eggs.im gonna eat this with a sourdough tomato oregano bread,a green pea n ham soup n a greek salad with feta cheese n black olives n grapes, rock melon n cucumber.i love to experiment with all kinds of cooking and need to workout to continue my food adventures
