Hogwash

 Ive been watching videos of hogs chasing a leopard who ran for dear life by climbing up a tree.So are wild hogs cute little Pepa pigs or its all hogwash?

I remembered the tall tales dad who was an avid hunter with a shotgun used to tell us stories of his hunting trips with his macho buddies.Once,they were out in a palm oil estate in wee hours of morning to shoot flying foxes when the loud bangs irritated a huge mama wild boar and her piglets.She came charging at the hunters who dropped their guns and quickly climbed up the trees.Dad recounted how they were clinging onto the branches as the huge boar rammed.her body against the trunk.of course,this adventure made it into the family story of tall tales.But dad never gave up on his passion for hunting and the following week,he was back to his passion.We had very tasty wild boar curry to thank him for it.

Another time,he told us of spirits in the jungle that one must.not offend.by peeing on tree trunks.His friend did it and the next day,his mouth had a twitch that didnt go away until he consulted a medium and went back to the forest with offerings.

So am i stopping outdoor trips.no.but i wont go places with a tote bag.carry a backpack is safer.Dad never let a bloody sow stop him and neither will any primate deter me.the call of.nature is irresistible.
