Li Chun celebration

 Today is the first day of Spring.i take my blind elderly sis to go new year shopping at hypermart NSK because she had rm150 free shopping voucher from Selangor government.the meat in NSK is more costly than Giant n Lotus.Some vegetables were cheaper.Elder sis is very knowledgeable on cultural practices as a Sinophile.Lunar dates are important to farmers n fishermen as moon movements affect tides,timing for fish to spawn or time for planting seeds and the season for insects to breed,insects help in pollination.so the ancient early wisdom helped agriculture n aquaculture to give food security to common folks.

Then I cooked a feast for dinner for Li Chun.i steam the siakap I got from Giant at rm 10 ,soya sauce n scallion n rice wine,then stir dried black bean bitter gourd,a curry powder fried chicken n spring roll with egg skin wrapper.i used radish,carrot n cucumber in the spring roll.Dessert is tang Yuen or glutinous rice balls in black sesame soup.

There was a burst water pipe in my condo and water cut for 3 days.so inconvenient when I'm cooking Li Chun dinner with stored water.hope they don't have water cut for reunion dinner or I order takeaway ,Paper plates n cups.
