Violence begets violence

Many leaders of state have been assasinated. The attempt to assasinate Trump shows high profile figures face threats to their lives.Happy birthday Dr Mahathir on his 99th birthday and it attests to the political maturity of Malaysia electorates that he has such a long life although he incarcerated a lot of dissidents and political opponents to retain his power. At one time he was labelled the Maha Firaun for his dictatorial style of ruling. Malaysian voters are mature in their attitude.look at Shinzo Abe gunned down during a election campaign by a lone wolf attack.look at Indias president Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi assasinated while in office.Look at Gaddafi and countless leaders in Africa from Chad to Tunisia.Sri Lankas president was assasinated in 1993 and General Aung San and his cabinet gunned down in a military coup d tat. In the US where gun culture is prevalent, anyone can launch a lone wolf attack so public security is a big problem for well known figures. Its seen the Malaysian voters seek change through peaceful means at the ballot box.,There are no winners when violence plunges a nation into civil war and political instability causes civilians to be refugees fleeing to safety in other regions as seen in Myanmars civil war that cause civilians to escape to neighbouring nations or as witnessed when civil war caused refugee exodus in Vietnam but political stability has seen Vietnam economic progress by leaps and bounds in Asean until Vinfast is capable of manufacturing and exporting Electric Vehicles. So stability in Myanmar will bring win win benefits to all, within the nation and the regional bloc. i loved the gentle friendliness of the Myanmar people when i visited the nation as a tourist and persuaded my tourism mates in the tour group to donate food supplies to an orphanage there that was built with donations by sponsor of travel magazine DestinAsian.im now helping to sponsor the meals of my Myanmar student who skips lunch to save for his tuition fees.i hope he can get a good job later on and help out one of his fellowmen further their studies
