The War of the Worlds

HG Wells,the futuristic sci fi writer wrote of how Earth was invaded by alien Martians from outerspace with their advanced laser guns and what overpowered and wiped out all the aliens was none other than a pathogen with which they had no immunity.yeah the common cold virus defeated the mighty Martians. What lesson did I learn from this novel? Never underestimate the smallest,invisible force and the power of it.I was smug n gloating about the excellent blood test result and body fitness check up that i did,and within a few days,ive been knocked down by the influenza A virus.My head is flushed with fever and im dizzy when i stand up,my legs are wobbly when im walking until i needed to grasp the banister to walk up the steps,my joints ache like being smashed with a hammer. But what good did i get from it?Yipee i lost one kg.as my sore throat made me consume oat porridge n soup.This small virus keeps me humbled not to gloat about my health so as to invoke heavens to send the miniscule virus to wreak chaos to my body.Dont talk about dancing zumba when i can barely stand up or eat a roast chicken when my throat feels like sandpapered rough.being sick is shitty.but what a lousy way to lose weight when i would prefer to be outdoors in the sun now swimming or zumba ing,im lying flat like a couch potato.Alright H G Wells was right after all,you cant win the war with a virus.happy 2025.
