Dinner i cooked the salmon belly i bought from wet market for rm18.much cheaper than local ikan kurau or groper at rm 26 a block.the fish monger knows me well and debones it for me foc by using tweezers.i cooked it in a golden yuzu sauce and stir fried sabah scallops with cucumber.
After dinner i baked a carrot cake and pang susi or eurasian sweet potato buns filled with potato,minced chicken,candied winter melon,5 spice powder,coriander powder,big onion n parsley.the aroma was womderful.jun called me nigella lawson the asian version.i love home baked cakes n bread.Jun bought some coffee buns n chicken floss buns.they were supersoft like cotton candy.i prefer bread with texture and more filling.i used 3 orange sweet potato to make pang susi.european bread with rye,oat n wholemeal are more nutritious than commercial bread.
