Many young couples are choosing a lifestyle choice of double income no kids especially in busy urban cities where the cost of raising a kid is exorbitant and childcare is hard to find.
Its heartbreaking to read in China a jobless and poor mom seeing her one year old child being fed fried dough instead of nutritious food.it may stunt the development of a child due to malnutrition.she should have breastfed him from a baby as its less expensive than baby formula.some kind of child welfare support system could be set up in communitiy centres so that the homeless,jobless ,sick elderly can get access to free nutritious food.
So raising a child is the hardest job in the world as it needs not only shelter n food but education and emotional and moral support so the kids left behind in rural areas are basically orphans growing up without support of parents so why have kids if you cant take care of them.you can divorce a husband as he is a stranger bound by love ties but not your child as he is your own flesh and blood.so its pragmatic for young couples to be childless as its a huge responsibility to bring a life into this world and not mess up their future due to parental neglect.i really pray the jobless mom can find donors for milk and food supply for her kid.
