Festive lunar new year

went to the mall to watch a lion dance.had sleepless nite on 8th day as they celebrate hokkien bai tian gong with playing fire crackers at nite using sugar cane to pray.i had breakfast treat at the kopi tiam with my exercise buddies and kopi tiam miam yang was really doing a roaring business with 5 shoplots and over 18 food stalls in a clean n hygienic kopi tiam.

Multicultural Malaysia

i would like to share a one Malaysia story.My son,a typical Chinese called a ehailing ride to his Malay mechanic workshop in Batu Caves.the e haling driver was a middle aged Tamil Indian who spoke fluent cantonese to my son.Hr grew up in a Chinese village in Salak South where he picked up Chinese language.When he reached the workshop my son spoke in Malay to the Malay mechanic to his surprise the Malay mechanic converse in fluent Tamil indian to the indian ehailing driver as he grew up in Batu Caves surrounded by indian neighbours.so when we learn each others language and celebrate open house for festivals we are richer in embracing multiculturalism and dont see ourselves based on skin colour but as one Malaysians.

Lunar new year shopping

i skipped going to ctowded market fair foor lunar new year shopping.went to community mall to buy spring vegetables,mini abalone in truffle sauce,red strawrberries from Egypt,pork tenderloin and shrimps. it. lacks the festive mood of willowpussy,crysanthemum.chinese waxed duck ,fireworks and new year snacks like love letters.but i neednt tire myself out .n
