Thanks to instant sauces,last nite i cooked deep fried chicken cubes coated in salted egg sauce with red chilli n curry leaf.then i boiled chicken soup with unripe papaya,honey dates n dried oyster.the remainder of unripe papaya i sliced thinly to pickle with young ginger slices,red chilli n mint leaves.my late mom used to pickle ginger n papaya for my favourite snack with century egg.thats her gesture of love so now i add a twist by adding red chilli n mint leaves.
I siir fried brocolli n baby corn with shredded chicken.
For lunch today i made a east west salad and a mushroom soup with crotons.the chinese salad has ginger papaya pickle and 2 century egg.the western salad is grilled stuffed crabs,lettuce,tomato n grapes in kewpie honey mustard sauce.i drank the made in Bangladesh lassi jun is crazy about.its made of buffalo milk n much creamier n thicker than cows milk.the brand is Pran n the flavours range from green mango,papaya,banana to strawberry.yummy yum yum.i like exploring new recipes so will try vietnamese n thai salad next like pomelo salad or vietnam spring roll with rice vermecelli or young coconut,mango salad.home cooking is so fun.
