Sad news

i chatted with the 84 year old lady who is a regular workout fitness freak at the park.She likes to make friends and talks in Malay to the regulars n in Cantonese or Mandarin to the non Malays.She uses the workout machines and as i waited my turn i chatted with her.Where is Mr Yong,your buddy who is kind and patient and chats an hour or more with her.Hes in his early fifties,quite slim and looks healthy.She sighed Hes no more.I met his brother who said he passed away last month from terminal cancer.His wife passed away from cancer after a few years of marriage and so he bought a lot of medical insurance.His brother said he was positive although the doctor said he had stage 4 cancer,he went for treatment and the cancer has recurred.No wonder he said he didnt have much time left to talk with us.a friend from the workout phoned him but no one picked up the phone.His brother said he was hospitalised for 2 weeks in ICU before he died.Death is so final.We said a silent prayer that he may now be free from pain and suffering.He never whined or complained but was looking forward to New Lunar Year.Rest in Peace.pal.
