Although Im not a Catholic,I have the deepest respect for his Holiness Pope Francis for he represents all the goodness and fortitude and compassion of his faith.
His leadership is seen when he offered refuge to Daw Aung San Su Kyi a refuge in Vatican city when she is currently imprisoned by the junta.It speaks volumes of the Popes deep love for humanity beyond the differences of nationality,ethnicity and religion.
He is in touch with the relevance of modern issues of society from the dehumanization of power to the injustice of political systems that oppresses and impoverishes the poor and downtrodden.
I respect his call for poets to keep the dream alive and look beyond the material world to the possibilities of hope and change in the future.What an inspiration in this time of the age of despair.
