Conservation of native plant species
how many of our native orchids of malaysia have been plundered and sold to foreign collectors?im sure sabah n sarawak have huge biodiversity of native flora n fauna endemic to the region.
if biotechnology can be applied, could rare species of plamts be preserved or propagated for commercial use.im taking the native tiger milk mushroom used by natives as medicine n the herb has strengthened my respiratory system.what other rare plants can we commercialise like gimger or orchids for horticulture.look at how netherlands develop the tulip business or framce grow lavender n roses for perfume industry
its about time we have a malaysian tropical garden design like how made wijaya popularized the balinese garden design
use native plants like the spice garden in penang or penamg botanical gardens.
plant local herbs and etc
incorporate them in public parks.we have a treasure trove of native species.make a documentary so knowledge is preserved.
