The elderly in China loved square dances.i remembered going to Beijing in the 1980s and fascinated by elderly people doing ballroom dances or latin american dance in open park besides traditional tai chi and qi gong practitioners.now im addicted like the Damas of China to zumba line dance.its good exercise and chance for socializing for the elderly.
To ptomote chinese square dancing to foreign countries,why dont China culture ministry and private firms sponsor international square dance competitions all over the world.the national teams from diffetent nations then come to China to compete for an Olympic style mass event
Malaysia shpuld set up a national line dance body to promote it to schools,colleges,universities and assisted living care homes
Draw up standard rules n regulations for competition at state level and design a standard syllabus for beginner,intermediate n advanced level.
At olympic level all teams design the moves based on one same audio track and another personalised to their culture.
