We Malaysian women are soooo proud Michelle Yeoh won an Oscar for best actress.Shes proof of those who work hard and never give up their dream will make it big.Its a symbol of hope for Asians to achieve so much on the silver screen and yes,age is just a number for women in their prime.
She didnt forget her supportive mother and the headstart that Hong Kong movie industry gave her and not the overly stifling Malaysian movie industry.Who would have thought an independent movie could win such prestigious awatds.so to make it big,dont be a frog under the coconut shell and jump out of the pond.Like Nicol David did for squash on the world arena,Michelle has shown that Malaysian women can make it big too although its a lot of hard work and sacrifices to reach that level of success.
To all those aging Malaysian beauties out there,Michelle,youre our inspiration to age well with grace and confidence and sheer semangat boleh.
