Celebrating friends birthday

we celebrated childhood friends birthday today in Chinatown.We had great time exploring the huge bookshop book xcess at Rex KL,then went to the famous hokkien mee stall started by my friends grandfather in 1940s.then it was fine dining at a beautifully restored cafe in petaling street Choocha cafe at Mah Lian hotel.the heritage style of old tiles,wooden balustrade n iron grille with open

courtyard was such nice cozy ambience.the fine dining was like michelin class,who would think roasted pumpkin or sagopalm dumpling or banana blossom in tempura would taste so good n flavourful. My friend treated us to great high tea at the Sheraton hotel at corner of Petaling Street and we chatted for 2 hours to our hearts content.we explored some interesting cafe like Malaya cafe,the old china cafe and a bar.Chinatown is getting quite trendy with the recent restoration projects.we will go back to look for the crockery shop and the fung wong old cafe with my favourite kaya swiss roll n walnut biscuits and marriage buns lao po bang.
