i admire the resilience and adaptibility of the early Chinese settlers who turned the mangrove swamps off Port Klang into a settlement or village on stilts, depending on rain water harvesting ,and catching fish to make a living. Some of my students when i was teaching near Port Klang came from this island.they were simple and contented people.this story is a tribute to the hardy fisherfolks, the delicious crab and fishball sold there.
