Home cooked meal
i cooked typical cantonese food for dinner.jun loves eating steamed minced pork with tung choy or preserved tientsin cabbage tung tsai which is salty.its a simple dish grandma used to cook.but since i dislike any red meat,i used minced chicken breast.my secret recipe puts in chopped waterchestnut,goji berry,salted preserved vege,bit of oyster sauce,sugar sesame oil and topped with spring onion.it was delicious.then i ate the pickled acar vege i preserved 2 weeks ago with century eggs.now a packet of minced chicken sells for rm8.50 but on july onwards it may rise to rm11 or 12.pity us who depend on white meat like chicken n fish n eggs for protein.we dont eat pork,beef or mutton so chicken is the white meat for us.
maybe time to eat old broiler hens or frozen chicken.sigh
