Buzz of kung fu

Bruce Lee the legendary martial artist made Wing Chun famous in the West as his kung fu movies received widespread recognition with its dazzling, slick moves.Of course it also embody Chinese philosophy like his famous quote of be like water, adaptable but the soft power can defeat the hardest surface. So it was enlightening to watch an old Hollywood interview with a scornful Western interviewer who tried to humiliate Bruce Lee and dismiss him as a kung fu artist seeking celebrity and fame .Bruce Lee handled his sarcastic questions softly and calmly without missing a beat. He dismissed Bruce Lee as all brawn and no brain and said his philosophy of be water sounded like glib words one finds in a Chinese fortune cookie .He was stunned into silence by Bruce Lees eloquent explanation and taught him mastery of knowledge should make one humble, not so arrogant and that real kung fu means mastery and control of the mind not to react with violence. Bruce graduated with a degree in psychology from Washington university and he fought racism with grace and tact. I also viewed Stephen Chows interview with a Western talk show host who started his interview with a racist question. He asked How can you understand the words written on the paper found inside a Chinese fortune cookie when you cant understand English.Stephen Chow blew his top by muttering What the hell is this? Then he raised a ruckus in Cantonese cursing the organiser of the show and all manner of words of fury.He fell into the trap set by the interviewer to make him look like a fool ranting and stark raving mad.I wonder if the actors working under his direction face his verbal tirades too if they make mistakes.that will be comical to watch the behind the scenes filming process.
