New year cake

im excited to try to bake a cake with middle eastern influence.how about a pink coloured rose flavoured cake spiced with cardamom,filled with chopped pistachio with greek yoghurt topped with dried rose buds n pistachios.i love the turkish apple tea n turkish delights i tried at the grand bazaar in Istanbul.i wish they have a turkish restaurant here with belly dancing n sufi dervishes.i like the brinjal n minced lamb mousakka,the kebab n turkish flatbread pide pizza n sticky milky ice cream. but cooking is a hell lot of work.just declutter the fridge and now another battle with infestation of small ,grey pantry moths.need to cover up dried pasta ,flour etc in air tight containers n throw away infested itwms.yesterday spent wole afternoon,pruning n fertilising the plants in the garden n putting abate in flower pots to prevent mosquito breeding.now the battle to control pantry moths.work at home never gets done.when i think ive battled one insect,another pest surfaces.i have to lay cockroach traps soon as one bug tried to enter the kitchen. i managed to finish reading the book by noreena hertz,the lonely century.thats the new mental pandemic of the 21st century.this is a good time to experiment with drinking chinese tea from Mix mini mart.ive tried the cold brewed tea from Taiwan n love the delicate floral fragrance of bittergpurd tea,i appreciate the robust Pu Erh tea from China n the oolong but for sencha,i prefer the japanese brand maruzen.the light freshness of green tea,jasmine green tea n hojicha,its still the zenlike brew of Japanese manufacturers i love. im at the age i have leisure to sip my tea and paint my ink wash on a cool rainy day.thats the contentment i yearn for.but the bloody risk is when my shortsighted eyes mistakenly grab the ink wash dirty brush cleansing cup for the dark pu erh tea cup.now i drink in small clay cups to differentiate muck water from tea.ink wash taste gross.yucks
