CHINESE NEW YEAR OF THE WATER TIGER

THis coming chinese lunar new year is the year of the water tiger.with rain n flood sure is a wet CAT.im stocking up on new year goodies like almond cakes from macau,mochi with black sesame paste from taiwan,walnut biscuit from Ipoh,Perak,chicken biscuit from Kampar n rice puff biscuits from Perak.i also bought goose liver chinese sausages from wengchou.next week i buy waxed meat n duck.its only 3 weeks before 1st February which is Chinese New Year.i wish we can hold a reunion dinner on new years eve so i bought canned mini abalones in truffle sauce from hong kong.fresh mini abalone from Sabah cost rm 6 per piece but damn hard work to soften it,cook until tender n make superior sauce.just buy canned ones.may buy raw fish ingredients which are prepacked n a can of pearl clam to go with it.
