Weekend chores

 Running to wet market shopping for fresh food.bought freshwater prawns at rm13 a piece.irresistible to cook cantonese steamed prawns with ginger,rice wine,superior soy sauce n scaĺlions.stir fried lettuce with tuna flakes for dinner.today i ate tuna sandwich ,a fruit salad n a glass of soy milk for lunch.after eating commercial bread for 2 weeks,i got sick of tissuesoft bread and decided to bake a salted caramel cake topped with caramel sauce and soft marshmellow rainbow butterflies.i layered sliced dehydrated apple rings in the cake for texture contrast.so yummy for next weeks breakfast n tea time. Wiped and cleaned the house myself n washed all toilets.marathon workout for weekend warrior

I bought the snow skin mòoncake mix from bake with yen.gonna try making snowskin mooncake with pineapple filling and green pumpkin seeds with a melon ball to replace salted egg yolk.seems avant garde like my

 Mixed fruit jelly mooncake last year with pumpkin ball as egg yolk.

Like a bridge over troubled waters

 Being feeling blue lately,maybe gloomy weather plus family member caught covid,world upside down n my pursuit of justice -a long fight ahead but i will walk on through the storm. To keep looking at the light at the end of the tunnel ,So i still have a bucket list of places on the 100 places to visit before my final exit.South Africa is an amazing place of natural beauty with awesome murals in the city and urban parks.i envision myself there one day.walk on with hope.

Dining out

 Dine out for dinner at Ming Tien foodcourt.chill out with fresh watermelon and orange juice.had a sighting that killed my appetite.the cats keep the rat population down when i saw a fierce cat that caught a wriggling rat in its mouth just across my table and that really put me off my dinner.its doing what cats should do unlike the fussy pussy stray cat Curly.It was licking its paws on the edge of a ledge.when i scolded it,do you think you have 9 lives?",it gave me a glare.

   But the next morning,i saw it quietly waiting outside my door so i gave it some tuna in olive oil.Her haughtiness gave it a few bites and walked away.shes also known as Tim Tam and my Malay neighbour down our corridor had fed her whiskas biscuits and drink so she snubbed me and gave me the cold shoulder.im not gonna feed her coz shes getting to be a fat cat.

A work in progress

 Went to park for morning workout.it rained heavily early in the morning.i waited until light shower before i went,bumped into Prof K who.is still active n fit in his 80s ,gifted him my disposable raincoat as ive already reached the car park n it was drizzling still.crazy weather blowing hot and cold.i was sneezing as the light rain and wind was chilly.next time i must bring windbreaker.

    I worked out an hour as last nite i ate Malay food of lontong sayur lodeh and ketupat or rice cakes and chicken rendang tok that i used ayam kampung to cook for hours.

Im hoping for rock solid abs like my role model Aya Osanai,a cross fit trainer.but im still a work in progress so i guess basically im just a well rounded person.next week i start sit ups and abdominal crunch 20x a day.See if i can transform to iron stomach instead of iron woman like Aya.

Now i stopped at garden centre to get two variegated plants one purple pink leaves,the other maroon n light green

. Talk about creeps that dont refer to the plant but the foreign worker was staring at my chest n commented aunty you still look so young.give me the creeps so i quickly bought two pots and quickly left as i left my pepper spray at home.be alert to creeps of all kind,the green ones are more harmless.
