Buddhas wisdom

With the IT boom, access to information is at our fingertip but do we have the wisdom to use this knowledge ?We can weaponise information to defame, slander, harrass, scam or even ignite a war. Like lord Buddha can we realize these illusions and get to the truth of the matter. im appreciative a Singaporean couple is donating a 17th century clay Buddha back to its country of origin in Bhutan.im sure the blessings of the triple gem will be showered on them and their family as falling leaves return to its roots. As Wesak is just 2 weeks away, the peace that emanates from a holy relic brings hope to the people of Bhutan. But im upset to view a Korean DJ in a Malaysian dance club dressed in white monks robe and with shaven head hype up the crowd of dancers.its really disrespecting the sangha or community of monks which represent one of the pillars of the triple gem.just as how entertainers disrespect the catholic nuns by dressing up in a nun habit on stage and performing pop music to entertain their fans,i feel there should be some respect for the religious order who have forsaken secular life for spiritual pursuits. So as in the korean movie exhuma, the creative license sets the imagination free but the audience see it as a fantasy or make belief fictionalised world where supernatural forces wreak chaos in human lives and the revengeful past impacts on the present descendants.in Buddhism monks detach from desires, hatred, anger and violence but exhuma shows a devilish monk filled with revenge and hatred and kills humans like the Angulimala.a monk that cannot be born to a higher realm because he embodies the worst of Mara, bloodthirsty and defiling the sacred teachings of Buddha by his black magic and spitefulness.of course due to historical enimity due to colonization of korea by the Japanese, the embodiment of revenge and stark evil is in a Japanese monk and not a Korean monk. i dont think the present generation harbour any resentment of their ancestors towards historical enemies as theyve buried the past and moved on.A bridge is the music and dances of K pop that has mesmerized the young Japanese and Chinese so pop culture extends the goodwill of soft power.
