Wu Kang Ren
I just viewed the Hong Kong movie Fly Me to the Moon by the newbie director Sasha Chuk and i loved the realism of the plot.it doesnt go into melodrama but it is a teflection of the nitty gritty of real working class migrants, the dynamics between a drug addict father going in n out of prison, the strained relationship with the wife who later divorces him and his failure as a provider to his two daughters who distanced themselves from a father who steals their savings for his drug fix.thete is no stereotyping on who is right or wrong but how circumstances shape their destinies.
i feel Wu Kang Ren is absolutely fantastic in his acting as the drug addict father.his body language and facial expression from 20s to late 60s is so realistic as hes a character actor passionate in his stagecraft.he is even as skilled as Tony Leung the Hong Kong maestro of Canto movies. This guy will win an award in the international arena one day like our famous Michelle Yeoh.
