im learning to appreciate Tang dynasty poems.it has 4 lines n 5 characters per line.Very minimalistic natural world reflects human wisdom. ive just learned Wang Weis poem Hua or painting and its so metaphorical in its elegance. A painting From afar the mountains have colour At close proximity,the waters have no sound The spring is over but the flowers are still there People come but the birds are not startled. is he describing a mountain n water landscape painting? or a paradox in which non moving water makes no sound.Although the season has changed to summer,the spring flowers are still blooming so in the midst of change,some things do not change . When birds will fly away at the sight of people approaching,these birds are not wary of humans so men and nature have learned to coexist peacefully. i feel Wang Weis idyllic view of man and his relation with nature is tied to the pastoral landscape.
