Prices of food goes up

For mothers day i went to book a buffet dinner but found the price increase per person by rm10 starting 1st of May.i cancelled the plan and told Jun to take me to eat at food court as prices more affordable. im sure when price of eggs go up,the price of cakes,tarts,pudding and food using eggs will also rise.Any rise in water or electricity or transport rate is passed to consumers.Im worried that with conflict in Ukraine an ongoing thing and India Pakistan conflict will disrupt Basmati rice stock,onion n garlic n spices,and wheat.The Covid pandemic also affected the supply chain so that even now i cant find imported instant cake and bread mix. i cook western and Asian food so pasta,potato n bread are my staple as i cook one Asian meal and one Western meal daily.i cooked Teochew yam rice for lunch and dinner was grilled chicken chop in bbq and worchesteshire sauce with mixed fruit salad and boiled potato.hope i can get quality food at reasonable prices with all these disruption in the supply chain.i get cheap Kenya avocado n Thai mango n China tangerines.I may cut fruit intake if price of pasta n rice goes up.how to get a balanced diet when i cant afford to eat local fruit like Musang king durians or soursop.even red dragonfruit cost rm13 a kilo.
