Im really super proud that Michelle Yeoh has won a golden globe award for her acting skills.To make it in Hollywood is no easy feat.She does us Malaysian women proud with her versatility in acting in chinese and english movies in martial arts,action movies,historical dramas,sci fis and family dramas.it speaks volumes on how dedication,focus and passion can drive a woman so far.She has broken the glass ceiling of gender steteotypes with her kickass kung fu stunts,the racial stereotypes of the Asian damsel in distress waiting to be rescued by the white knight in a shiny armour and the stereotype of aging as weak n frail.Cant believe she is a 60 year young award winner in a cutthroat business that emphasizes youth and zeal.
Well weve had female Central Bank governor in Zeti Aziz ,Ministers like Rafidah Aziz and democracy activist like Ambiga.so Malaysian females are just as capable as male compatriots.perempuan pun boleh!
