Charity
many faith based organizations do charity like feeding the hungry, helping the homeless or providing humanitarian aid to refugees n disaster victims.the western ones sometimes come with a hidden agenda of turning the hearts n minds of locals against their political establishment, evoke civil disobedience against autocratic regimes.so when people are at the lowest point of hunger, sickness n poverty,it is opportunistic time to exploit their weakness to do conversion.
these charitable organizations work like ngos.organization like tzu chi are inclusive but do not limit help to taiwanese but all ethnicities and faith in africa, south america n asia.there is less underhand prolysetization.global sikh was one of the forefront aid organization organizing food distribution to hungry families regardless of their faith because service to humanity is one of the pillars of sikhism.so too were kechara soup kitchen hunger knows no borders.our faith teaches us to be inclusive ,not exclusive.
the other thing religious figures should not do is impose their influence on politics.if you wanna have power, then leave the religious establishment and fight for politics.one serves the worldly and the otherworldly, totally different paths.so bardline buddhist monks should disrobe and become politicians and not abuse power of relugion to extemd their authority.
