Vintage dresses

gonna hunt in flea market stalls n pre loved item shops for a 1920s flapper dress in retro style of great gatsby.i adore the way the fringe dresses with beads sways and twirls when the wearer moves n swings to music.it will suit a short bob hair.the other material i like is satin especially the simple elegance of a champagne gold slip dress in satin.if i cant find it ,i will sew a satin slip dress growing up in a tailoring family,im fascinated by textures,shapes n colours.i love velvet but its too hot for the tropics like the cordoroy pants.i think it would be fun to pair a thin chiffon blouse with a faux leather skirt or a denim skirt.i used to wear moms floral sam foo top with my faded jeans or short pants.those boomer years were so avant garde with big loop earrings,huge belts,bell bottoms,platform shoes and that floral jumpsuit.wish i had a daughter to dress her up n pass on my vintage clothes to.mom used to have lovely cheongsams and huge circular skirts that is like what marilyn monroe used to wear.i like the retro outfits better.
