Lunch n tea time
for lunch,i steamed the special mushroom baos i bought from the street hawker.very creative n tasty the bao is filled with chicken cubes,button mushrooms in a cream of mushroom sauce.i love fusion of east west.bought local fruit of golden lily mango,hawaii solo,beranang banana n brown chiku.i made an almond milk smoothie with orange,green grapes from south africa,blueberry from mexico nbanana.then for tea time,i drank english breakfast tea and the disappointing honeycomb cake from ambon boenda.the holes in the honeycomb wasnt big enough so wasnt chewy n spongy.the colour should be dark caramel with tinge of bitterness of burnt sugat.this was pale yellow.sometimes what you expect is so different from what you get in reality.the proof of the pie is in the eating.my buddy lindsey bakes better kek lapis coz she adds in horlicks,condensed milk n its so moist unlike the dry kek lapis i ate.jun flattered me by claiming the cakes i baked have better texture n flavour.sure i add in chopped pistachios,walnut,pineapple,pear,pumpkin and greek yoghurt.its hard work chopping n grating them
