Fusion chinese food

 Dinner is grilled chicken drumstick in tomato ketchup and barbeque sauce glazed with honey and stir fried lettuce with shitake mushroom.back to home cooking


Jun is a foodie too.he remembered how mom used to bake homemade cinnnamom buns,sausage rolls and buns with chicken floss until at nite he dreamed of his po po sitting at the kitchen table kneading dough .then he dreamed of eating my pang susi portugese nyonya influenced sweet potato bun filled with minced chicken,potato and dried winter melon.im now crazy about breads n cakes that arent sold commercially so its portugese melaka pang susi bun,pineapple upside down cake,sarawak kek lapis layered with hawthorn flake or sencha n cinnamom,and my newly found love of bika ambon,a spongy honeycomb indonesian cake made with tapioca flour,tumeric powder,coconut milk,lemongrass extract,pandan juice and keffir lime infusion.what a east wesr fusion.im also in love with traditional steamed cantonese sponge cake or ma lai go.now i seldom buy from bakery as its costly n has preservative n flavouring.im learning to try baking long forgotten recipes.sweet dreams of more food
