Crazy weather

Bad haze in morning n heavy thunderstorms in evening.my clothes cant dry in outdoor so i need to spin dry in coin laundry downstairs.the rain is lashing on balcony, thunder clap n streaks of lightning frighten kitty.i swoop him up to put inside study room.he finds it his comfort zone since 2 months old.he ran under the day bed to look for his toy rat.i stay warm n cozy in living room sofa curled up with a good novel i bought at popular book sale months ago.i love japanese literature, succinct yet imaginative

n philosophical. The Cat who saved Books by sosuke natsukawa lets me retreat to a magical world n forget the rainstorm.i make a cup of chai masala to slowly savour reading this novel.i love reading on cold, rainy evenings.l fell in love with modern Japanese writers when i saw one of my students engrossed in reading Murakamis Kafka on the shore.i had only read classical literary works of Yukio mishima and Yasunari kawabata in the UM library. Now im a huge fan of Yoko Ogawa and Durian Sukegawa.after reading sweet bean paste,i love the takiyaki red bean paste filled in a fish pancake.im sad that some books ive lent to friends were not returned like Ogawa the housekeeper n the professor, the travelling cat chronicle, the conveñience store lady n if cats disappeared from the world.they were gems of delight to read.

Look at my captain kitty who has become a book lover like me

Isnt he so kawaii!!!
