One of those nights

The air is chilly and its strangely quiet past midnight. Its one of those nites.the calm after the storm. The terribly heavy storm in the afternoon wrecked havoc as friends sent pics of the ceiling of a shopping mall in taman megah collapsing n shoppers shrieking loudly in panic.

i was reading when the glass sliding door rattled and the drain outlet couldnt drain away the huge volume of water flooding the balcony.peals of thunder clapped noisily as streaks of lightning flashed in the dark sky.

I saw my slippers floating on the balcony n heard kitty whimpering in fear.i rushed to open his cage, swopped out the ball of fur n dried him out in the study room with an old towel.

as he got comfortable, kitty ran under the day bed to hunt for the badly bitten grey fur rat.when he is stressed,he chews on the soft fur until his orange plastic body is seen.

After the rain i served him wet food from the happy cat packet and the fur baby purred with satisfaction and reached his paws out of the cage to hug my legs.

After dinner i curled up in the sofa and read the novel the cat who saved books until i reached the end.whats not to love about a talking tabby named Tiger who recites words from saint exupery The Little Prince.its only with the heart that one can see rightly.what is essential is invisible to the eye.

Sosuke Natsukawa has fired up my passion for books on printed paper.i cant wait till hes inspired to write his third novel for i understand now books have tremendous power and what that power really is.

I flipped thro the comic of Simons cat in his very own book n found comic relief.thats my idea of a perfect weekend,a hot cup of chai masala with lots of cardamom,a good book and a great laugh to round it up.
