Busy day

had joined long queue this morning in taman aman basketball court as MP Kg Tunku had a bargain grocery sale .Many pensioners of all races lined up as early as 8 am but the sale started only at 10 am so when i reached at 10am i was the 300th person.Unlucky as within 2 hours ,all the tray of eggs, frozen chicken sold at rm10 and siakap fish at rm8 sold out.The price of protein meat has shot up although limited to one each, they sold out so fast.i only bought 2 plastic bags of cooking oil and coconut milk.i hope they hold more jualan rahmah as the cost of living is hitting hard
the M 40 middle class pensioners.i waited 2 and a half hours and couldnt buy any fresh meat .so disappointed.the menu rahmah programme has fizzled out as many places dropped the bargain meals as cost of goods increased a lot.im cooking braised chicken feet and mushroom n wan ton noodle for lunch.i bought frozen fish n chicken wantons from the wet market as im too lazy to wrap dumplings.i bumped into my ex colleague Jui Ann while out grocery shopping at Jaya Grocer and we were at Ah Cheng Laksa which has such great Penang food Nowadays i cook and bake at home to save costs and stay healthy.my himalayan pink salt has been used for 5 years as i hardly put salt in my cooking and i use stevia sugar to be healthy.for cakes and bread i use corn oil or sunflower oil.Food security is very important to our well being.i dont buy frozen food from Japan as they release radiated waste into the ocean neither do i buy mussels from Port Dickson as the seas there are polluted by algae toxins.i read of 2 who died of food poisoning after eating packed lunch from an unhygienic food caterer so i prefer home cooked meals. Now when i go hiking i have to be alert to streams and waterfalls that might be polluted by rat urine causing leptosprosis.some schoolchildren and teachers who went to a hot spring spa all fell sick from a contaminated water source.
